Title

Children in Action

This year our activities will be eXtreme as we investigate missionaries who use eXtreme sports to share the love of Jesus all over the world!

Children In Action (C.I.A.) meets on Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm and is a children's organization that focuses on missions. Children from kindergarten through 6th grade spend time reading stories, doing activates, crafts and games to help them as they:

  • Pray for missions
  • Give to missions
  • Learn about missions
  • Do missions
  • Learn about the Church and missions
  • Grow toward a missions lifestyle
  • Learn what the Bible has to say about missions

We have a younger age goup of CIA that includes children from kindergarten to 2nd grade and an older group from 3rd to 6th grade. Each month we get involved in missions through a "Live Action Project" that might include taking canned goods to the food pantry, sending cards to shut-ins, visiting a nursing home, or sending books or school supplies to an orphanage overseas.

Recognition

C.I.A. offers patches and pins that children can earn for projects and activities in which they participate. A recognition service will be held in late spring. Be watching for our Family Night in November where parents will have the opportunity to see what the children are doing and learning!
